The Furia is a real helicopter, developed for amateur construction.

This award winner design includes smart mechanical solutions to obtain a vehicle with remarkable stable flying characteristics and yet simple to build.

The plans have been carefully prepared and drafted in a way that even those with no technical background can easily understand and visualize the function of each part.

This is achieved thanks to the employ of perspective drawings and exploded views (see a sample in this page) and the construction drawings that shows the dimensions and materials needed to build this project.

Since the furia helicopter is made from many small parts, most of these parts have been drafted at full size within the 80 legal size pages that makes this set of plans something unique.

This is not intended to be a beginers project and since there is a lot of machining involved is a serious project for an individual with deep knowledge of metal turning and mechanics.

The two bladed main rotor is semi articulated, its exclusive design gives the builder the chance tomake a good and sound construction with relative ease.

To ensure a precise and smooth operation, all mobile parts have been mounted on bearings.

Tail rotor is shaft driven which guarantee a positive power transmission without the problems seen in belt arrays.

Rigid Push-Pull control rods are used for cyclic and collective pitch controls.

The main rotor mast and the tail boom are made out of an aluminum alloy tube, speeding and simplifying the construction process.

The helicopter main structure is with aircraft quality steel tubing, which provides a strong support for all components.
The rugged skis are also made with aircraft grade steel.
